About Me

IMGP0318I have shared my home with many dogs over the years, most of which I have to say settled in without much trouble. They all seemed to understand what I said and were all so eager to please. I did say ‘most’ not all!

Having shared my home with a dog that appeared to be unable to learn anything, even basic ‘sit’ took weeks to achieve and then it was always on her terms. I decided to look for help. I tried the six week basic obedience class and spent most of the time on the sidelines with my girl acting completely bonkers! I read all the self-help books available. All to no avail, nothing seemed to work for my girl.

It was this experience that made me passionate about dogs and desperate to learn why dogs do certain things. I just knew there was a key out there somewhere that would unlock the lines of communication between dog and owner.

I decided to train as a Dog behavioural Therapist Dip.dog.psy (distinction) and have worked with dogs and their owners in a professional capacity since 2004. During this time I have worked with hundreds of dogs and their owners.

Working on a one-to-one basis in the dogs own home/territory means that both dog and owner are relaxed and therefore more able to learn the basic commands/techniques that, when practiced daily will produce effective and long lasting positive behaviour habits.

Please explore my website further and learn about the kind, gentle, operant and classical conditioning techniques used in this effective dog training program.

I look forward to helping you and your dog . . .
